About the role:

We are looking for a Middle/Senior level WordPress engineer for our clients and internal projects related to the design and development of content-focused websites. The main tasks will be related to the creation from scratch, designing and maintaining the project in the future. We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Give as accurate time estimates as possible for each project that is required.
  • Design and Develop New Websites: Spearhead the creation of new content-focused websites using WordPress, ensuring they meet the latest industry standards and trends. This involves selecting appropriate themes, and plugins, and using page builders like Elementor to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain and Update Existing Websites: Regularly update and maintain websites by request to ensure they are secure, efficient, and up-to-date with the latest WordPress version (currently 6.4.3) and other related technologies.
  • Custom Web Solutions: Work closely with Pillar’s team to understand their unique needs and deliver custom web solutions that align with their goals, leveraging your understanding of UX/UI principles and your ability to integrate third-party APIs and WordPress plugins/themes.
  • Code Development: Utilize your knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery to develop, test, and debug code that enhances website functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay informed about the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in web development and WordPress engineering. Apply this knowledge to continuously improve the quality of work and innovate new solutions.

What you’ll need:  

             Must:

  • 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • WordPress 5.0, Elementor;
  • PHP, MySQL;
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery;
  • Understanding of UX/UI design;
  • Integration with 3rd party APIs, WordPress plugins, and themes.

            You are a perfect candidate if:

  • Experience in the Public Sector is preferred;
  • Held a similar position in the past;
  • You are dedicated to product building;
  • You have a passion for design;
  • You are interested in creating custom web solutions for clients;
  • You have strong problem-solving and debugging skills;
  • You have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
  • You are constantly improving your knowledge of the latest technologies and tools;
  • You have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to take on new challenges;
  • English – B2+.

You will have a two-step interview, which includes a 30-minute HR and GM (General Manager) interview and a 30-minute combined (technical & personal) interview with Pillar’s COO.

  • HR and GM Interview. Here we want to get to know you, hear about what you’re interested in, and learn about what you hope to do in the future. We’ll also tell you about us and the project, answer your questions, and talk about company benefits.
  • Technical & Personal Interview:We will coordinate a Technical & Personal interview with Pillar’s COO.
    During the interview, we will get to know you better and examine your previous experience. In the interview, we will also detail the challenges and expectations we have, to understand together if you can provide value for our requirements
