About the project:
Cellcom is one of the 3 biggest Telcos in Israel. Cellcom developed the first Over-The-Top TV service in Israel and currently has 300K paying subscribers.
About the role:
Cellcom is looking for an experienced Android Developer to join their Android TV Development team. You will work directly with the Android Team Manager and the existing team. The right candidate needs to be a team player, passionate, responsible, and a TV user.
What you’ll do:
You will be part of the Android TV and Mobile applications development team and responsible of:
- Create new features development.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Assist in solving customers’ issues.
- Optimizing performance and more.
What you’ll need:
Must:
- Good level of English: B2 (Speaking and writing).
- 1+ years’ experience developing Android applications.
- Knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and Android Studio environment.
- Deep knowledge of SDK frameworks, Jetpack compose, and their use.
- Understanding MVVM & MVP architecture.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
- Understanding Client-server communication, and knowledge of REST API.
- Experience in using source-control system.
- Practice with UnitTests.
- Huge Advantage – experience with Android TV application development.
Nice to have:
- Any experience working on an OTT project -specifically with Kaltura as the backend.

SCREENING PROCCESS

You will have a two-step interview, which includes a 30 min HR and GM (General Manager) interview and a combined (technical & personal) interview with Cellcom Team Lead and R&D Manager.
A brief preliminary test:
Before interviews, you’ll be given a short technical test. Each question is timed. The estimated test duration is 30 minutes, but it can last up to 45 minutes.
HR and GM Interview:
Here we want to get to know you, hear about what you’re interested in, and learn about what you hope to do in the future. We’ll also tell you about us and the project, answer your questions, and talk about company benefits.
Technical &Personal Interview:
We will coordinate a personal interview with Cellcom Team Lead and R&D Manager. In the interview, we will get to know you better and examine your historical employment experience.
