About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Java Developer.
The perfect candidate will be an analytical, results-driven developer
who will work with our Belgium team members to troubleshoot and
improve current back-end applications and processes.

In this role, you will take part in the construction of the offshore team
and you will lead and influence our SDLC.

You will use your understanding of programming languages and tools to
analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient
processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users.
You should have excellent communication, computer, and project
management skills.

What you’ll do:

• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with the Frontend Developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
• Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
• Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
• Taking the lead on projects, if needed.

What you’ll need:

Must:

• At least 4+ years of experience building high-quality applications for a multitude of diverse clients in core Java and Java EE software development.
• At least 4+ years experience with Spring framework and with Spring cloud.
• 3+ years experience with Restful API.
• At least 4+ years experience with MongoDB.
• High level of English: B2+ (Speaking and writing).
• Team player with outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently.

Nice to have:

• Any working experience with Gradle.
