About the project:
Shift is a cloud-based management service for educational and business institutions. It develops applications for passenger transportation – the system builds tracks on the basis of passenger requirements and needs. Managing track changes, real-time monitoring of the trip, alerts on the way, and navigation based on route information are the best of the services we are providing to our customers.
It can also build optimal routes, creating a variety of reports that help to receive information about a route and determine how many people were or were not on the route or which bus was needed, etc. We transport the military, prisoners, medical workers, schoolchildren, and many others, saving our customers up to 40% of the transportation budget.
About the role:
As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. If you also have business acumen and problem-solving aptitude, we would be really glad to meet you.
What you’ll do:
- Be responsible for the visual design according to the provided design.
- Create and modify reports/dashboards according to the tasks.
- Perform optimization to speed up and improve the quality of dashboards and reports.
- Search and implement new BI solutions.
- Fix errors in reports and dashboards.
- Work on reports and dashboards includes not only working with PowerBI tools but also working with data at the Azure SQL level, transporting data through the mechanisms implemented in Shift.
What you’ll need:
- Good English level :B1+
- Knowledge of SQL queries.
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
- Good experience with Power BI (Strong advantage).
- Love thinking broadly and creatively about problems and how to solve them efficiently.

You will have a three-step interview, which includes a 30 min HR and GM (General Manager) interview, a technical interview, and a short call with the Shift’s CEO.
- A preliminary test.
Before interviews, you’ll be given a short technical test that includes only 26 questions. Each question is timed. The estimated test duration is 29 minutes, but it can last up to 58 minutes. Please set aside 58 consecutive minutes to take this test. - HR and GM Interview.
Here we want to get to know you, hear about what you’re interested in, and learn about what you hope to do in the future. We’ll also tell you about us and the project, answer your questions, and talk about company benefits. - Technical interview.
You’ll get a technical task from our technical interviewer Dima (team lead of the DevOps team) with a two-day-long period for its solving and a short call with Dima to discuss its result. - Personal meeting with Shift CEO.
If you were successful after each previous step we’d arrange a call with the CEO of Shift, who would like to e-meet you to get to know you better, talk about how you approach problem-solving, how you think about the process, etc.
You won’t need to prepare anything in advance.
