About the project:

Gentex is a global leader in high-tech electronic products for the automotive, aerospace,
and commercial fire protection markets.

Gentex Technologies Israel – GTI, is the Israeli R&D center of Gentex, located in Tel-Aviv.
We are focused on developing the next generation of automotive AI technology for
in-cabin and driver monitoring applications and serve as Gentex’s AI center of excellence.

About the role:

We are looking for a talented senior software developer to take responsibility for designing, coding, and owning the roadmap of the backbone of our main product.

The backbone manages all aspects of the product performance, interacts with the car’s
computer system, and controls the different algorithm blocks. As we expand to support
several different car OEM configurations, the backbone is becoming more sophisticated
and complex and requires a dedicated software lead.

What you’ll do:

• Develop a new architecture for the backbone, including a roadmap for several types of backbones and support for CD/CI.
  The architecture should support the flexible integration of different algorithm stack elements, logic, and performance control algorithms.
• Develop the pipeline and build the required environment and processes to achieve optimized performance.
• Collaborate with the Data and QA team in testing the product and data conversion.
• Manage and own the integration of new deliverable versions.
• Work closely with the algorithm, porting, and product teams.

What you’ll need:

Must:

• Good level of English: B1+ (speaking and writing).
• A passion for software development and learning.
• BSc or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering.
• A least 4 years of hands-on R&D work experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with TensorFlow
  (Multiprocessing and Parallel Programming).
• Proven experience in system design and software architecture.
• A problem solver and team player.

Nice to Have:

• Algorithmic background.
• Working experience with AWS and dockers.
• Coding experience in embedded systems and embedded coding languages.
